Bad battery symptoms
The most common battery-related symptoms on Zetor tractors are hard starting or “clicking” when you try to crank, plus the battery going dead quickly or not holding a charge. You may also notice corrosion or loose/dirty connections on the battery terminals, and the battery may show very low voltage (around 11.5V or less) when tested.
Basic battery safety
Disconnect the negative cable first, then disconnect the positive cable. Install the new battery, connect the positive cable first, then reconnect the negative cable last. That reduces the chance of shorting a tool against the frame.
